Issue in Updating App

Hi,

I have workspace and app setup 1 year before. It was working fine untill yesterday. Suddenly App is not working.

 

When i click update app from workpace and go to app, all the reports are highlighted with red box which on hovering displays "Report is deleted from workspace". But all the reports are present in workspace it is not been deleted. A Report cannot be deleted directly if it is published, it first needs to be unpublished and then only dataset can be deleted.

Let me know your thoughts on the issue occuring and any idea on resolving this issue without unpublishing the app. Because unpublishing and recreating app will change the app link for all reports.

We experience the same issue. Several of our apps stopped working with the same message, that the reports have been deleted or hidden.

We also get this when trying to add an app using the "Get apps" button in the portal:

I reported our issue to MS support yesterday, no updates so far.

Currently, the issue is a known issue and the team is working on resolving it. I'll be updated here on the progress of resolving the issue if there is any progress.

Hi @REnor 

I am facing the same issue. Not able to update app or unpublish app or create app. 

I raised ticket with Microsoft and team is working on it. 

Will let you know if I get solution.

In my workspace, I have this report, which I use to create an Apps:

When I publish it, then I delete this report:

Then upload it again in Power BI Desktop:

At this point, when we update this app, we will encounter your current problem:

You'll need to remove the report from the red box:

Then update your Apps:

 A Report cannot be deleted directly if it is published, it first needs to be unpublished and then only dataset can be deleted.

That limitation is no longer present.  You can delete the semantic model without having to do anything to the report first (and it will delete the report with the same name too)
