Issue accessing dataflow on PBI Service even when I am admin

I have created a workspace with my colleague and I as admins. She has created a Gen 1 dataflow connected to Redshift Serverless.

However, I am unable to access the dataflow on PBI Desktop or see any attributes from the dataflow.

Thank you for following up. I have yet to find a solution for this issue.

Hi @meowster,

Can you please tell which part of the problem you are struck in right now or the original question is still unanswered.

Thank you.

Hi @v-mdharahman, the original answer is still unanswered. The solutions provided by @Akash_Varuna are unable to solve my issue unfortunately.

Hi @Akash_Varuna, this works. Seems like whoever with admin access to the workspace would need to take over the ownership of the dataflow in order to access it via Power BI Desktop. Although it doesn't seem to be the best permanent solution, we would have to make use of this for now. Thank you!

Hi @meowster The issue might be of number of reasons could you check for these please

  • Verify you have explicit permissions to access the dataflow.
  • Confirm you're signed in with the correct account in Power BI Desktop.
  • Clear the cache in Power BI Desktop by navigating to File > Options and Settings > Options > Data Load > Clear Cache.
  • Ensure the dataflow is published and refresh is successful.
  • Confirm Redshift credentials are properly configured in the dataflow.
If this post helped please do give akudos and accept this as a solution
    Thanks In Advance

Thank you @Akash_Varuna, I've tried all except the first "Verify you have explicit permissions to access the dataflow". The dataflow owner is unable to explicitly give me permission as there is no selection to do so. How do I explicitly give permission?

Hi @meowster Could you check on the workspace level if it is not available there could you contact your admin

I am the admin for this workspace. Do I need to toggle some of the settings?
