How to refresh Power BI Service report
Hello there,
I have created a resport using Power BI desktop and I published it in Power BI service.
The desktop report uses data from a excell file located on my Onedrive Business Cloud.
I want to share the Service Report with fellow coworkers. For this, I require that the Service Report refreshs is data set once per month.
How do I refresh the dataset of the Service Report directly without having to open the Desktop app, Refresh on the app, Republish the report?
Furthermore, how do I schedule this updates automatically?

I followed this steps and the option "Data source credentials", in Power BI Service, unlocked for me but, when I edit the credentials, it returns an error saying status code 400, without any additional info. What did I miss? The desktop app updates with this same data sources without any problem.

Hi Anonymous ,
If your dataset not only contains cloud data source but also the on premise data source, then it needs to use the gateway and configure schedule refresh, see more: :On-premises data gateway , Configure scheduled refresh .
Note that you also need to select Allow user's cloud data sources to refresh through this gateway cluster option Under Gateway Cluster Settings. See: Merge or append on-premises and cloud data sources.
If your dataset contains only the OneDrive for Business data source, it needn't to use gateway and it is not possible to configure the schedule refresh interval. You can only deactivate OneDrive refresh in the dataset's settings.
OneDrive refresh synchronizes datasets and reports with their source files. By default, Power BI refresh every hour if a dataset connected to a file on OneDrive or SharePoint Online requires synchronization. See more: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/refresh-data#onedrive-refresh .
