I have seen a similar issue with Gateway connections being ghosted and you cannot delete them unless you re-create the gateway connection. You might consider opening a support ticket with the issue.

I have never deleted a gateway intentionally so I can't say I have seen this issue.

Thank you for your reply. Finally. I am able to delete the instance of the gateway by running powershell script.
