    Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Fabric Community forum.

     

    Yes, guest users will be able to access the reports shared through the Power BI app published from a Fabric trial capacity without needing an individual license. This trial capacity functions similarly to a Premium Per Capacity license, allowing our guest users to easily consume the content without requiring a Power BI Pro license.

    Hey DiKi-I ,

     

    in addition to what v-sgandrathi mentioned you have to be aware of the following:

     

    The Fabric Trial license is an F64 Fabric capacity, an F64 corresponds to a Power BI Premium P1 capacity.

    If you stick with Fabric after the trial but use a smaller Fabric capacity size than F64, e.g., F32 or F8, then all your app users need a Pro License, including internal app users and external guest users.

Hi DiKi-I 

Guest users can access shared Power BI reports only if:

  1. They have a Power BI Pro license (in your tenant or their own).
  2. The report is hosted in a Premium capacity workspace (Fabric trial doesn't include Premium features).

Ensure:

  • Guest users are enabled in your tenant admin settings.
  • You explicitly grant access to the dataset and reports.

For easier external sharing, consider using a Premium Capacity workspace.
