General question for dataset size caabilities
Hi!
I have a quick question regarding Dataset capacities. We were having problems with our main dataset which weighs 1gb of data.
I started reading about PBI Premium Per User to override this problem as it states that the dataset can contain 10gb of data.
To test it, I created a new work space and set it as Premium work space (on the bottom it says that it uses a PP3 SKU). I tried uploading a new dataset with 1.2gb of data but it failed for another reason apparently.
My question is: Am i understading it right? Does Premium Per User allow uploading and refreshing data sets larger than 1gb? The thing that thorws me off if that theres a license pero user (basic, pro, premium) and a license for "capacity" or what I see as a company category.
I know it's a simple question but reading the docs and other threads is confusing me.

According to the information I found, Power BI Premium Per User (PPU) allows you to upload and refresh datasets larger than 1 GB, up to a limit of 100 GB per user. However, this limit is not per dataset, but per user. This means that the total size of all your datasets cannot exceed 100 GB.
However, there is another limit that applies to datasets that are refreshed through an on-premises gateway. This limit is 10 GB per table, and it applies to both Pro and PPU licenses. This means that if you have a single table in your dataset that is larger than 10 GB, you will get an error message when you try to refresh it through the gateway. This limit can only be avoided by using a Premium capacity, which is not a shared capacity.
Therefore, if you want to upload and refresh a dataset with 1.2 GB of data, you should be able to do so with a PPU license, as long as you don’t have any table that is larger than 10 GB.
