Gateway from Shared Local Folders Error (Scheduled Refresh)
Hi Everyone 🙂
I am in a fight to get these data live via gateway we :
I have a SQL server up and running, yet the local shared folder files arenot added to the gateway and gives me UnathorizedAccess Error.
How can I eliminate this Error?
And do I need to add all data to the gateway to schedule refresh? Can't i schedule partial refresh based on the SQL Server thats already in the gateway?

Hi Anonymous ,
If this Shared Local Folders source is an on-premises data source and used in query(such as connecting it in query editor) , we need to configure it to gateway to make refresh work. If you are using a standard mode gateway, please add a data source in "Manage Gateway" and configure correct credential, then map your source in setting of this dataset. If you are using a personal mode gateway, please configure the credential under the setting of this dataset. If you have other cloud data source and merge/append with other on-premises sources, we also need to configure this cloud data source in gateway, but if the query of cloud data source is standalone, we do not need to configure a gateway for it. Please refer to this document: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/refresh-data#review-data-infrastructure-dependencies
