Fabric compute capacity has exceeded its limits - Warehouse SQL End Point - Why?

Hi,

We are receiving below message error when trying to import data from a Fabric Warehouse from Power BI thorugh the SQL end point

Message is self-explanatory but we are able to import data from other lakehouses on the same capacity and what is more relevant the monitor does not show any signal of such scenario

What is more I am able to access to the Warehouse using same SQL end point using other tools (Azure Data Studio) with no issues. So I don't understand error only does appear

Anyone else has noticed this strange scenario?

Regards,

Hi,

We finally discovered that the message was misleading as the problem was on the authentication to the target (Warehouse) defined by the user (he used Integrated Security instead of MFA). We cleared the cache connections from PBI desktop and we created the connections again properly, After that PBI connected smoothly to the warehouse.

No idea why Fabric provides an error message so misleading.... There was no problem with the capacity...

Hope it helps someone that suffers same issue on future

We have similar issues where the capacity alerts about being at or over the limit but then the metrics app shows maybe 40% CU.
