Impactful Individualfabric capacity exceeded - where do we even start?
hi, as far as we know our pbi consultant has been the only person working in the 3 fabric ws's we gave him. we have f2 capacity.
his assignment was to develop a 3-4 page report with multiple visuals , filters etc. And a simple pipeline for deploying his pbi? files to devops.
he got a lot of that done over the last 2-3 weeks but suddenly he got the error you see below.
Can the community recommend a starting place for resolution/identification of the culprit? i'm going to read that link in the mean time. what could trying again later might have beentelling us?
unless someone else is asking for free fabric we cant imagine that the handful of people with access to fabric might have run this capacity up. fabric has been for research thus far and is somewhat dormant at the moment.

We have been using F2 for trial and have faced this. The step we would usually take is:
Review the Fabric Capacity Metrics app once we find the workload during which the capacity issue occured it narrows down the problem. Many background jobs or operations easily saturate F2

db042190thx, i think you are saying to use the "Fabric Capacity Metrics" app to identify the workload. i'll go down that road and see where it takes me. i havent used it before but i assume its reachable fro the service.

i looked at what you do after that app is installed and it doesnt make sense as shown below. why would i want to connect to my data if i dont know what data caused the capacity to exceed?

its not as bad as what i made it sound like. once we installed, followed simple prompts and started poking around we saw almost immediately who the culprit was. we shut down his event monitoring process. unfortunately it looks like we have to wait till next month to wipe the slate clean. or up our capacity now. be ready with your "time zone offset" when you install this app.
