Exporting Data from Power BI Service/App - Usage metric
Does anyone know of a way to monitor how many users or times, the export data function is being used from the Power BI service/apps.
I like to know if the Power Bi report is not meeting the user's needs and they are exporting the data to work with it in another tool such as excel.
Thanks
JC

Hi Anonymous ,
The Power BI service does not directly provide built-in functionality to directly track or monitor usage of the Export Data feature in the Power BI service. However, you can consider the following alternative methods to gain insight into user activity:
1. You can use audit logs to track Microsoft Fabric user activity, including Power BI operations.

2. Power BI usage metrics:
The usage report is based on the last 30 days of activity data and does not include the current day's activity.Monitor usage metrics in workspaces (preview) - Power BI | Microsoft Learn
