Export Data - Data with current layout isn't using the current layout

When I choose Export Data - Data with Current Layout, the layout isn't the same. The columns are not in the same order as they were in the table online.

Hello everyone, did anyone resolve this issue? I still can't figure out why I don't get the same layout after exporting.

I've seen a few posts related to this feature. I don't know how MS releases these types of updates but apparently they released it to some organizations.

I have this feature as well so it must be released to some extend. Perhaps my org enabled but other orgs haven't.

I've tested the following scenario.

Create Table with Columns1-4.

Load columns to visual in following order:

  1. Column4
  2. Column3
  3. Column2
  4. Column1

Rearrange columns in Order:

  1. Column1
  2. Column2
  3. Column3
  4. Column4

Export using the new "Data with current layout" option:

Export Results:

My thoughts:

  1. This is a defect that should be fixed. It should display the information in the same order as visual.
  2. There should be an option to disable this export option (I see none at present).
