Exploring integrating Google sheets with Power BI without compromising data
Hi All,
New to Power BI here. I need to connect Google Sheets with Power BI for visualizations. The data is in my google sheet which is shared with a group of 5 colleagues.
I understand I can connect it with Power BI using the URL after publishing. However, is there any secure way that doesn't compromise my google sheet data? Otherwise, any one with the URL will be able to access and share the URL (and thereby, the google sheet) outside the group.
I would like to keep the access restricted to the 5 colleagues only. Is there a way out? Thanks in advance.

Hi. It used to be a public way that was insecure, but with the current Google Sheet connector I think it's pretty secure. Be sure that your link is not public from google sheets. You can try opening the URL in a browser private tab and it shouldn't open without login. Use that one in Power Bi Google Sheet connector. It will ask you to login in google to get the file.

I hope that helps,
