Embedding Power BI reports into sharepoint

Hi Folks, 

I have recently moved to Power BI premium per user licence, I want to embed/share my reports to newly implemented SharePoint intranet, however I dont want to purchase Power BI pro licence for everyone in the organization as they will just consume the reports. 

 

I tried searching over the internet on this topic but I am left confused with the next steps. 

What licence I will need to publish a report? or do we have to buy Power BI Premium for whole organization to make this happen? or do you have any other thoughts?

    Hi alalan 

    If you share a report, through any method - Sharepoint, Teams, Power BI shared etc. , that is on a Premium Per User (PPU) workspace, anyone who needs to see that report needs a PPU licence. The same is true if you have a Pro licence, if you share a Report, the other users need a Pro licence to view the Report. The exception is when you have a Premium Capacity licence. A Report on a Premium Capacity (NOT PPU) workspace can be shared with users that have a "Free" licence.

    The economics depend on the number of people who need to view the report, if its less than 300 to 400 then it's cheaper to buy multiple Pro or PPU licences, over that threshold it may be cheaper to buy a Premium Capacity licence.
