Wanted to share an issue we ran across when trying to use an embed link from Power Point document from Sharepoint in content area in Power BI App.
After troubleshooting several different options, we are only able to use as "new page" instead of the content area. Ideally we want the power point to open in the content area of the App, but we've settled on it opening in a new tab instead.
Short analysis: There seems to be a token handoff issue with the new navigation when choosing “Content Area” option within the Open In selection. Other choices operate as expected. Seems similar to a double-hop authentication, without the Kerberos authentication actually working.
Possible Issue: Would have to change SharePoint tenant governance to allow anonymous sharing. We have specific governance and reasons why is restricted. Time to implement is weeks to never, as governance might not allow this tenant-wide sharing change.
@v-kkf-msft Thank you! Yes, we've gone through all of these steps with no success on the clients tenant. On our tenant this works correctly as you described. I'll add a screenshot of the error.
Hi @sarahmtz7 ,
I don't see the screenshot of the error. Does your problem have been solved?

Here it is.
Hi @sarahmtz7 ,
I can not reproduct your problem, try granting the users who need to see the PowerPoint in Power BI App the read access to that SharePoint site to see if it works.

Winniz
Hi @sarahmtz7 ,
Please try the following steps:
1. Click on the Power Point document to open it online. Then click on File, Share and selected Embed.
2. Copy only the embed code from the following section as shown below.
3. Input the link in Power BI App.
Refer to: Embedding Word Documents into new App Experience within #PowerBI
If the problem is still not resolved, please provide detailed error information or the expected result you expect. Let me know immediately, looking forward to your reply.
Best Regards,
Winniz
