Eliminate Gateway

I have created a custom connector (MyGraph), however it has the dependency of On-premise gateway for the Refresh schedule. I am trying to find a way to eliminate this dependency.. is there a way? or can we use the Web connector to connect to Graph API ? If so, does it require a on-premise gateway for refresh?

    Currently I think that it is only possible via the On-Premise Gateway.

    You could try the Web Connector but depending on how it is configured it might still need the On-Prem gateway.
