EXPORTING TO PDF BACKGROUND ISSUE
Hello all @v-karpurapud rohit1991@ibarrau, thanks for all your comments. But this issue is a limitation from the microsoft itself. As i am using a custom wallpaper and custom background colors and canvas colours( I have to use this and don't want to use power bi themes. With power bi themes, pdf has no issue). The below one is mentioned in microsoft documentation"
The feature doesn't export any wallpaper you apply to the report. Since wallpaper isn't exported to the PDF, you should pay special attention to reports that use dark wallpaper. If the text in your report is light or white, it is difficult to read in the export to PDF process since the dark wallpaper isn't exported with the rest of the report.I am using dark wallpaper and so it can't be exported to pdf.
Thanks,
hi aswathiii , Power BI does not export transparency in PDFs. Custom backgrounds (colors/images) may not render. Some themes don’t apply in exported PDFs.
Solutions:
-
Set a Solid Background Color
- Go to View > Page Background → Select a solid (non-transparent) color.
-
Use a Background Image
- Add a full-page image → Set Transparency = 0% in Page Formatting.
-
Use Print to PDF Instead
- Instead of Export to PDF, use Print > Save as PDF for better rendering.
