Hi Expert,
Can we drill through multiple time-point details in the Power BI Fabric capacity metrics?
I'm aiming to create a summary of detailed CU consumption within a day, using data from the Fabric Capacity Metrics that includes specifics on activities and the users responsible for each action.
From what I understand, we can only select a single time point in the Power BI Fabric capacity metrics, as the slicer is restricted to a single selection and cannot be changed.
Regards,
Kemal
Hi @kemalfaisal ,
Even we have same requirement, but at this moment we can't able to capture interactive and background CPU details at item/timepoint level.Earlier we were able to pull those details but before 4 months they update the data model and extraction is no longer working.
Currently,we are pulling only interactive, background CPU totals at every timepoint, and throttled item details using power automate.
I hope it will be helpful.
Thanks,
Sai Teja
Hi Sai Teja,
Thank you for responding the thread.
How about we retrieve data details by connecting to the tables in the Fabric Metric Capacity workspace through SQL Server using a Workspace Connection?
By setting the Fabric Metric Capacity workspace as a Premium workspace, would we be able to achieve this?
Regards,
Faisal
Hi kemalfaisal
There is nothing stopping you from editing the Capacity Metrics report in the workspacre where the app is installed.
You could customize the report to fit your personal reporting needs.

Hi Jonvoge,
Thank you for responding to the thread.
I’ve tried manipulating and drilling through data in the Fabric Capacity Metrics workspace editor. However, from my understanding, the summary data in the TimePoints table is separate from the detailed data in the TimePointInteractive and TimePointBackground tables.
Additionally, I am unable to download the PBI file to review table relationships, as this option is disabled in Fabric Capacity Metrics.
Regards,
Faisal
