Hello,
I have views in my semantic model with this weird refresh date and red triangle.
Previously the same thing with another view.
Also fetching schema takes forever and I get this information that "field list item has error"
Any ideas?
Thanks
The message has changed now which makes more sense:
Apparently everything is working as expected, this is all by design according to Microsoft.
Error message is not an error but just information.
"Direct Lake semantic model process stuck: Once you add SQL views in your model, it automatically changes to Direct Query mode, since views are not supported by direct lake mode in a warehouse, leading to a Fallback, directly affecting its performance. Moreover, all Direct Query mode limitations are applied. Please refer to documentation below for a deeper understanding, as well as learning how to possibly disable such function (depending on scenario), how to analyze Dax performances, and so on."
Tables work fine. Both tables and views come from Warehouse.
Hi @mkulikowski
Can you confirm that the column names do not have any spaces, and that the data types are supported in the delta parquet format?

This is not the issue. Even simplest View with 1 row with integer shows errors.
Hi @mkulikowski
Do you get the same issue if you connect to a table in direct lake view?
Is the source of your view a direct lake table or a warehouse table?
