semantic Model direct lake

Dear Community,

Starting today I'm not able to refresh this semantic model. There has been no change to the model.

"DirectLake - ZEP_Gold
Failed to save modifications to the server. Error returned: 'We cannot process this request right now because the OneLake security configuration has changed. Please refresh the semantic model to resolve this issue. Technical Details: RootActivityId: 2c659e7f-e724-4663-bd9a-f84ae66d625b Date (UTC): 10/15/2025 9:24:19 AM '."
I'm a powerbi and capacity admin and I created the workspace and the lakehouse as well.
Mayby any deployments by MS ;-).
  • Good morning to all of you, fortunately today the pipeline succeeded again. Again I changed nothing, so I assume Yesterday was something like a hickup.

Let me say this finally: It's amazing how fast and intensive help is applied in this forum and I thank you all for that feeling of community and safety.

  • Hi PeterGoertz ,

Thanks for reaching out to Microsoft Fabric Community.
Glad to hear the pipeline is running successfully again. It might indeed have been a temporary platform issue.

Thank you for the update, and appreciate the kind words. Also, thanks to Pragati11 and tayloramy  for their quick support here.

Please reach out if you need any further assistance.

    Thank you.

  • Hi PeterGoertz

    • Have you tried On-demand refresh on your Semantic model?
    • Do you have right permissions on the data source?
