Direct Lake Semantic Model Fails to update
Hi, we have a Semantic Model with Direct Lake connected to a Lakehouse, and it suddenly stopped working.
There are no errors, warnings, or messages—just this: "The XML for Analysis request timed out before it was completed. Timeout value: 3600 seconds."
There haven’t been any changes to the tables or model in the last few weeks, except for an incremental refresh of a table.
I've created a new Semantic Model and works, but any way to recover the older one? any tool?

Hi @rajendraongole1 also the Tabular Editor also fails to connect to the Semantic Model.
But for some reason the Semantic Model Large format was enabled, after turn off the Semantic Model restores and works

Hi @debiagui - Export the schema of the old model using Tabular Editor.Import it into a new Semantic Model and reconnect it to the Lakehouse.Open the model in Tabular Editor.Locate the MaxIntermediateRowsetSize and TimeOut properties and increase their values (if allowed by your configuration).
Compare the two models (old and new) using Tabular Editor or Power BI Desktop to identify differences in structure, partitions, and measures. If the old model is corrupted, export and reimport its components into a fresh model:Use Tabular Editor to export the metadata from the old model.
Import the metadata into the new Semantic Model.
