Different Refresh Schedules for Multiple Reports Using the Same Dataset?

I have a dataset that is used for internal and public reports. The public report and the internal report look identical. I want the internal reports to refresh multiple times throughout the day and the public one to only refresh manually. Is there a way to set this up where I only use one dataset? Currently, I have published two datasets, one for the public which only refreshes manually, and one for our internal staff that is set to refresh multiple times a day.

HI @Cupe_GIS

In Power BI , dataset will be refreshed against the source data and reports will just consume the data from dataset. In other words, we schedule dataset only, not reports. As soon as the dataset is refreshed, the dataset will contain the latest data ALL reports based on this dataset will show the underlying data. It is not possible to have different schedule of reports which are based on same dataset.

Maintaining one dataset for internal and one for exterlan reports seems to be the solution.

Thanks
Raj

Is there a way to refesh the dataset once istead of twice as the both reports are using the same data source ? Why do I need to do it twice ?

Thanks, I suspected as much.

Data refreshes are configured per Dataset. If you have Premium or PPU then watch this video to refresh selected tables:
