Deployment Pipelines

Based on my understanding of the error message, it typically indicates schema-breaking changes that the Deployment Pipeline cannot reconcile with the existing semantic model in the target workspace. The root cause may be attributed to several recent changes, such as configuring incremental refresh, creating folders for measures, performing merge or transformation operations in Power Query, or renaming/removing columns or tables. Such changes alter the schema or metadata, which the pipeline detects as incompatible with the deployed version.
Please follow the workaround approach outlined below, which may help to resolve the issue:
- Backup Your Existing Model in the Test Workspace.Kindly rename or export the semantic model to avoid any potential data loss.
- Delete the Existing Semantic Model (Test).This action will clear any conflicting metadata or partitions, allowing for a clean deployment.
- Re-deploy from Dev to Test.Navigate to Deployment Pipelines and proceed to deploy from Dev to Test.
