Deployment Pipeline reset Workspace

Hi All

 

When I go to Deployment Pipeline, my previously selected workspace resets to "My Workspace"

 

Is there plan to fix this to retain Workspace selected?

    Hi abpgupta ,

     

    The follow picture is my test result, I cannot choose "my workspace" assigned to the deployment pipeline.

     

     

    In this documentation , workspace assignment limitations are:

    • The workspace must be a new workspace experience.
    • You must be an admin of the workspace.
    • The workspace is not assigned to any other pipeline.
    • The workspace must reside on a Premium capacity.
    • You cannot assign a workspace with Power BI samples to a pipeline stage.

    So I think it is theoretically impossible to assign "My workspace" to deployment pipeline.

     

    Could you choose "my workspace"?

     

    In addition, here is some deployment pipelines troubleshootings you can refer to. Hope it would help you.

      The issue is as soon as I click on Deployment Pipeline Button on left side Panel, my previously selected workspace reset to My workspace.  

       

       

       

      This should not happen as I have to navigate back to my previously selected Workspace. This adds more clicks/refresh of browser to go back to original workspace I was working in.

        Hi abpgupta ,

         

        It does not mean that the deployment pipeline resets the workspace to "My workspace". As shown in the figure below, if you are accessing the 1209new test workspace, when you click the Deployment pipelines (or Apps/Shared with me), which means that you have exited the workspace and you will return to Power BI Service homepage. The homepage selects My workspace by default.


        If you want to continue to access the 1209new test workspace, you must select the 1209new test workspace in Workspaces.


        In addition, the displayed workspace is not related to the workspace selected in Deployment pipeline. You can create a pipeline, and then select the workspace you want to assign to it.

         

         

        If the problem is still not resolved, please provide detailed error information or the expected result you expect. Let me know immediately, looking forward to your reply.
