Dataset error in Power BI service

Hello everyone!

I have this kind of error in Power BI Serivice:

The report is created internally in Power BI Serivice, not in Power BI Desktop. The data is not refreshing. Also, I got one more error in one of the report visual:

I hope you could help to me to solve this problem. Thank you.

Hi , @Anonymous

Based on my query in the internal database for this error details you provided, I got an error message like this:

An error occurred running the query.Details: ErrorCode=OnPremiseServiceException, ProviderErrorCode=0xC1450012, ErrorSource=User, Message=Failed to move the data reader to the next row.

Message=Failure encountered while getting the next row in the result-set

According to my experience or understanding, generally the field in the visual above the report in the presentation of the calculated value has a field type/DAX expression operation type or RLS/OLS limit and other errors will lead to this error message, if it is convenient, you can click this report on the service to enter the "Edit" mode and delete each field on this problematic visual to check whether the problem will disappear. This will help you find the field/measure that is having the problem and facilitate further troubleshooting.

Thank you for your time and sharing, and thank you for your support and understanding of PowerBI!

Best Regards,

Aniya Zhang

Hi @Anonymous

There can be a lot of reasons for it. Can you 1st go to the dataset and edit the data source credentials? Also, can you please explain what the source is and what visual is being used here?

Also, please share these error details so I can use copy command for those IDs.
