I'm new to Power BI and have setup a connection to a SQL database on my network.
Within the Power BI client I set my data source permissions to use my personal Windows credentials.
Initially I had the connection set to Direct Query but noticed I couldn't share the report with colleagues that way because of an error they were receiving which looked like we would need to gateway the DB, so I changed to Import and that seemed to bypass the issue.
The same day I changed to import my scheduled data refresh failed with the error of "at least one data source is missing credentials. To start the refresh again, go to this dataset's settings page and enter credentials for all data sources. Then reactivate scheduled refresh."
The Data Source Credentials section is greyed out entirely and so I'm a bit stuck.
Do I need to setup a gateway connection for this source, or is it the Windows Credentials that I'm using to connect to the source that is the problem?
Goal is to be able to have the data refresh daily, and to be able to share a report with colleagues (we all have licenses already).
Any advice is welcome.
