Hello,
I have a dataset from a survey with thousands of responders(individual data). I would like to present/ visualize the results (aggregated results) of the survey by class, gender... in power bi desktop and publish it to service og then use it to publish in a website where everyone can see the results.
I am not allowed to show the aggregated results with small number ( < 5) ( for example, total answered 'yes' i class A with gender: male is 4 ) . This will be ignored by setting av filter.
The problem is that I am using the whole dataset ( csv file with individual data) for Power BI repport and I am not sure at the dataset can be seen or download from public? I mean is it safe to upload Power BI report to website with dataset?
Thank you!

@HaiVN Well, to the best of my knowledge, Publish to Web does not allow exporting data so, in theory, you should be OK.
@ArwaAldoud Thank you for your answer! I will allow everyone to se the Power Bi report ( aggrigating data) but I do not allow them to se the datasett ( individual data)!
Hi @HaiVN ,
If you want users to view the Power BI report (aggregated data) but do not access to the dataset (individual data), follow these steps:
If a community member’s response addressed your query, please mark it as "Accept Answer" and click "Yes" if you found it helpful.
If you have any further questions, feel free to ask.

You're welcome, @HaiVN
If Publish to Web is necessary, just ensure that individual data isn’t included in the visuals. You can do this by pre-aggregating data before uploading it to Power BI and applying filters to exclude small group counts. This way, only summarized insights are visible while keeping raw data private.
If this was helpful, please accept it as a solution or give kudos to help other community members
Hi @HaiVN
Your Power BI dataset is not publicly accessible unless you use Publish to Web, which makes the report visible to everyone. While users can't download the dataset directly, they can see all displayed data.
@HaiVN Well, to the best of my knowledge, Publish to Web does not allow exporting data so, in theory, you should be OK.
@Greg_Deckler Thank you for your answer! Do you know where dataset is stored when we publish Power Bi repport to Power BI service? Som I understand it will be stored in Azure database which is manged by Microsoft! If yes , is it safe with data?
@HaiVN Well, the data is stored as a semantic model in the Power BI Service. The exact details are murky quite honestly. There used to be a Power BI Security white paper out there that sort of covered some of this type of stuff. Will have to see if I can find it. But, it's as secure as anything else out there in the cloud.
