Data missing after service refresh

Hi everyone,
I've a problem with the refresh of a report. In the dataset, there some quantities with their respective date, which are plotted in a graph.
When I refresh the report in desktop, I see certain numbers. After the refresh online through power bi service, some dates are missing, so my graph shows wrong numbers.
Why is there a difference between the two refresh? It seems after the online refresh, some information are lost.
thanks

I've found out that, after linking the refresh to the gateway, data related to month March are not loaded, if relevant

Thank you for your support. Today I've found out what was problem, or at least I think so. The column date was already set as format date in power query editor. I think there was a problem with the format before this changed type, which is dd-MMM-yyyy, with the month in letters (JAN-FEB-MAR...).
After adding a step te replace each month abbreviation with its number (01,02,03..) the problem seems solved

Hi,@user-2024

I am glad to help you.

According to your description, you want to know why data missing after service refresh?

If I understand you correctly, then you can refer to my solution.

It is possible that the reason for this issue is because you have a problem with your date columns. When refreshed in Power BI Service, they reverse the day and month, with the day showing up as a month and the month showing up as a day.

The solution is to change the type of the column from Text to Date in the Power Query Editor.

' after linking the refresh to the gateway, data related to month March are not loaded(if relevant )'.

Regarding this issue, you can:

  1. verify that March data exists in your data source.
  2. double-check that your date column type is correct as before, a mismatched date format may result in the data not loading correctly.
  3. check to see if the steps in Power Query Editor inadvertently exclude data for the month of March.
  4. Check whether the incremental refresh is set to ensure that the incremental refresh parameter settings do not exclude the March data.
  5. You may also want to create a separate simple report containing only March data to see if you can successfully refresh, if possible, the problem with refreshing is related to the settings of your original report.

I hope my suggestions give you good ideas, if you have any more questions, please clarify in a follow-up reply.

Best Regards,
