Hi,
I have a problem with scheduling refresh of a power bi report at work.
The person who was dealing with datasets is away and I want to see the report.
What will happen if I do the "take over" option.. i don't want to lose any settings or data changes made by him.
Thanks

I just mean that you will have to provide the credentials to any data source used by the data set, in order for it to refresh
Hey, was this issue resolved? I am facing a simillar taking over issue. I am losing the lineage to the power bi dataset when I take over the report dataset settings for the report.
If you take over, you will lose the credentials that were used to set up the refresh
In essense, you'll have to reconfigure the credentials and refresh schedule to set it back up on a schedule
Thank you so much for the reply.
I am new to power bi. 😞
What does losing the credentials mean?
The person who configured the dataset has made different reports and will be coming back in three months. I don't want to mess woith his other files and datasets.
I just mean that you will have to provide the credentials to any data source used by the data set, in order for it to refresh
