Data Scheduling for Replicon Dataset
Hi All,
We are currently working on scheduling datasets of Replicon in Power BI report, in that we are facing issue in data source setting for replicon.
Below is the screenshot of the error for your reference. please guide us.
You can't schedule refresh for this dataset because the following data sources currently don't support refresh:

- Data source for ..........
- Data source for ...........
- Data source for ...........
Query contains unknown function name: Replicon.Contents Unknown function name: Replicon.Contents is a valid Mashup library function name format. Hence fail the operation.

There is no gateway connector for Replicon yet. Is your Replicon asset on-premise or in the public cloud? If it is on-premise then you are currently out of luck and have to refresh datasets manually. If it is in the public cloud then you don't need a gateway.
There is also no official Replicon connector on the Desktop. Are you using a custom connector?
Sorry to bring this back again lbendin, but what do you mean by you dont need a gateway. I'm facing the same issue currently hoping to find a way to let end users refresh the data whenever they want, or have it refresh daily - Replicon is accessed via the internet with a log in, and it advertises the custom connector, I created report in desktop version with custom connector, input login info, and now I can click refresh in the desktop app anytime to get fresh data. Is there a way I should be able to have a refresh button or schedule in the service?

You can connect many types of data sources, but it does not mean that all of these data sources support data refresh.
The error happens when the data source you used, within Power BI Desktop, isn’t supported for refresh. You will need to find the data source that you are using and compare that against the list of supported data sources at Refresh data in Power BI.

Replicon uses a custom data connector that is local and works with Power BI Desktop. You can depend on the Microsoft OnPremises Data Gateway to do this and setup an OAuth data source on Power BI Cloud.
Catch is, the Microsoft OnPremises Data Gateway must be running all the time. Typical Microsoft OnPremises Data Gateway rules apply to this too.
