Data Activator - alert works in outlook but not in teams

Hi,
I have set up some data activator alerts. The alert is triggered and working properly in email (outlook). However when I set it up to send an alert in Teams, this message does not come though. Only modification I did is to change message from Outlook to Teams. What could be the cause of this that Teams alerts dont come through?

As a first step, can you check whether you have the Data Activator Teams App installed? The app should auto-install when you send an alert to yourself, but your admin can disable this, which might be what has happened. You can check if it is installed by clicking "apps" in the sidebar on the left of Teams then typing "Data Activator" in the search box. If you have Data Activator installed, it will show up there. If it is not installed, then try installing it and see what happens.

Hi @MicrosoftPBI It could be because of the permission issues or Integration issues could you check if the bot your application has neccessary permissions for the teams and if for particular channel then enable notifications for that teams channel You could contact for more details also if the above didnt work

it should have all necessary permissions because in Data Activator I sent a "test alert" and that came through in Teams. Problem is only with actual alerts which should appear based on real data. Also on the cases when it should have sent an alert, the data activator UI also shows that the alert was sent. However nothing actually came in Teams.

@MicrosoftPBI Could you try re authenticating in the Activator may be the authentication fails that is why the notification hasnt shown in teams
