Dashboard embedding on a secure website

Hi guys,

We are a PowerBI Pro customers.

We're developing a report that I'd like to be available for our customers that are not in our organization. Also I'd like this report to be private, to only my clients can see. The best for us, I think, is to develop a website that I can control the logins, but have the report embedded to the site. Don't know if this is possible, and also don't know if my report would be secured with the iframe code open for everyone (is it?).

Any suggestion?

Thanks!

Hi there,

This certainly can be done.

What you could do, is to share the reports or dashboard externally with your customers. This will grant them the required access.

Then what you could do is to use the Embed -> Portal or Website, which will then mean that your user has to log in, in order to gain access. The link from below could be embedded into your website.

But any user can get the code from I frame with "inspecting" and take somewhere else. But I guess I cant do nything about that, since I'm using dashboard access outside from PowerBI, right?

Hi there

Even if they did get the URL, because it is a Secured URL they will ALWAYS be prompted to log in before they can access any of the reports or dashboards
