Dashboard Access

Hi
Currently, I have a Dashboard which is in one particular workspace. I want to give access to everyone in my organization, and this dashboard doesn't have any data; it has only one Hipper link, which is redirecting to another webpage

  • Hi venkatakrish_01,

multiple ways I can imagine for your case.

    1. Create and distribute an App

    2. Share the link with everyone in the organization (distribue the link e.g. via e-mail)

    3. Embed the dashboard/report in a SharePoint Site (e.g. landing page of your organization)

    Best regards!

  • Step 1) In your workspace, click Create app → set the app name and description → under Permissions set the audience to your entire organization (select All people in my organization if the tenant setting allows it) → Publish app.

Step 2) Share the app URL with your organization via email, Teams, or intranet. Anyone in the organization can open it without needing a workspace role or individual permission grant.

Here are a few ways you can share your dashboard link with your organization

    1) Power Bi APP

    • Create App: In your workspace, click Create app (or Update app).
    • Add Content: Ensure your dashboard is included in the app.
    • Set Audience: Under the Audience tab, choose Entire organization (If your teanant Allowed).
    • Publish: Once published, anyone in your company can find it in their Apps section or access it via the app link.

    • Licensing: Users will still need a Pro/PPU license to view it unless the workspace is backed by Premium capacity (F64 or higher).

    2) Sharable Dashboad Link

    • Share Dashboard: Click the Share button on your dashboard.
    • Link Settings: Change the link type to People in your organization can view.
    • Send: Copy the link and share it. This grants access to anyone in your company who clicks it.

Click share on your dashboard as below (Example of report)

  • Hi venkatakrish_01

Approach is you can publish dashboard as a Power BI App and grant access to entire organization through Azure Directory group via one email-id. Easier to manage than giving workspace access to everyone.

As dashboard only contains a hyperlink and no data so make sure the linked webpage is accessible to all users.
