Customize the e-mail subscription
Hi all,
Is it possible to customize or somehow change the way the auto generated subscription looks like?
The default format is not user friendly. Its too zoomed out and lots of irrelevant information.
Would like to just have a picture in the mail text that properly displays the report image and then delete all the unnessary text and elements.

You can try setting this up with Power automate or any other tool that might help. But, in Power BI service as of now there is no option to edit the email format.
Hi. I think the idea of the mails was to send a quick view, but if you need a deeper one, you need to click on the button or open the png/pdf. You can't customize the email, but you can change some options to see if that make sense:
Those can be changed when you are creating the subscription. However I can say if removing the link to the report will zoom in the Preview Image. You can try it.
If you want even more customization you might be able to build your own mail if you do it with Power Automate or any laguage code and the Power Bi Rest API, but it's kind of a lot of work.

It's 2026.. Does any one find a solution how to zoom in / format the Email subscription ? 5 years since this request raise. 😀

You don't have to rely on default options. You can set this up with Power automate to send certain text and information from your report. But, in Power BI service as of now there is no option to edit the email format.
