Combine Restricted Database with Additional data sources

Hi everyone. I am currently working on a database that has been given to me with some restrictions (i.e., I can only see the fields to build my visual but I don't have the access to that database). If what I can see is not enough, and I need to add other sources, is there a way with which I can combine these two datasets (restricted and non-restricted)?

Maybe I can create a copy of the dataset with the only permissions I have and then add and link other sources? So far it seems to not be possible. Maybe someone knows some way around or other alternatives that can be implemented?

Thanks in advance!

Hi, @MCORTI3

It sounds like you may need to perform a data integration process to combine the restricted and non-restricted datasets. One way to do this is to export the restricted dataset to a file format that can be read by other software tools, such as a CSV or Excel file. Then, you can use a data integration tool or programming language, such as Python or R, to combine the exported dataset with the non-restricted dataset.

Another option is to use a cloud-based data integration platform, such as Talend or Informatica, which can connect to both datasets and perform the integration process.
