I am having refresh errors and need to know which gateway server was used for the power bi dataset refresh. We have 5 servers in the cluster.
Thanks for the help.

Hi @Anonymous There finally is a way to map the gateway logs to a specific dataset. The new feature was released in the July 2023 version.

How does this help me figure out which server was used for a particular refresh?
You can use the gateway logs the pinpoint on which gateway server the error occurs.
The logs are created on each seperate gateway server. I would suggest configuring the logs, refresh the dataset and check on which server the query ran.
It is not an easy process to pinpoint the gateway server, but at least now you can map the queries to a dataset and that enables you to have a view of which queries ran on which gateway server in the cluster.
