Hello,
I would like to know if it is possible to use a Cloud connection with a custom connector?
I have created a report in Power BI Desktop with a custom connector as the data source. When I publish it, I want to refresh my data. However, I do not want to go through the gateway but rather use a cloud connection.
Before creating the custom connector, I tried to connect with the Web connector: https://xxxx-xxxx-api-web-app-prod.azurewebsites.net/ and OAuth authentication, but I received an error message: "We couldn't establish a connection because this type of credentials is not supported for this resource. Please choose a different credential type."
I created a Cloud connection in "Manage connections and gateways," but I cannot assign it in the settings of my semantic model.
How can I proceed so that when I publish to Power BI Services, it detects a cloud connection? Thank you for your help
Hi @avintras
Currently, it is not possible to use a custom data connector as a cloud connexion in the power BI service. You can create or vote for an idea at https://ideas.powerbi.com
