Cannot install On-Premises Gateway

The issue is probably due to the unique permissions for different folders and something is restricting even the admin to complete the install.

 

Could you try this:

 

Find the C:\Users\Default folder, right->Properties -> Security tab -> Advanced -> Change Permissions button -> Check "Replace all child object permission entries with inheritable permission entries from this object"

Please try this and try installing the gateway again.
