Can't Choose Gateway
Why can I on certain datasets use the Data Gateway at my on site and on other datasets I can't? I need to be able to do this in a reliable manner. Have to have this solved ASAP!

Is the data source path identical in both the Power BI file (under data source settings) and in the "Manage Gateways" section of the Power BI Service?
EDIT: I should also point out that the Gateway must be identical for every single data source in your file. The moment you add a new data source, the Gateway must also have it. Its an all or nothing proposition. The moment you add a source it doesn't know or can't handle, then it will stop you from using it.

Hi jmiridium,
The Data Gateway does not support all data sources. If you are using a data source (E.g. Active Directory) that is not supported by the Data Gateway, it will be greyed out.
If it is a supported data source, you have to define it in Gear > Manage Gateways > Add Data Data Source
