Can I link Power BI with my local SQL database

Dear Support,

My client has emailed me to see if we can link our system/database with Power BI as they want to use this for dashboard stuff. Our system/database is locally hosted. Database cannot be accessed using IP etc but websystem is live which they are accessing using URL. A simple system.

Please can you provie me help how can I link Power BI with my system. Will it be using RESET API or any other method? Our database is not on cloud/Azure.

Is it possible to link Power BI with my system? And if yes then how?

The community is a not an official support channel. In answer to your question though, yes, it should be possible using one of the gateways, either Personal or Enterprise. The gateways provide the bridge for the Service to communicate with on-premises data sources.
