Anyone experience this issue?
I can refresh this report within Power BI Desktop but once I publish this report to Service, it always fails during my nightly refresh.
I even tried to delete this report from Service and publish a fresh copy.
I have over 100 reports in Service and this is the only report having this issue. All reports pull data from the datawarehouse. Not sure why credentials are a problem for this one report.
Thoughts
Thanks in Advance
Hi @IamTDR ,
I would check each datasource in the report and make sure that each one is correct. I would also check to confirm that the "Privacy Level" in desktop is identical to the published version.
Proud to be a Datanaut!
Private message me for consulting or training needs.
BTW, where or how would I check "Privacy Levels"?
Hi @IamTDR ,
In Desktop, look at Data Source Settings and select the Data Source and then select Privacy Level. In the service, go to the Dataset - Schedule Refresh - Data Source Credentials - Edit Credentials - Privacy Level

Thanks
In the Service under 'Edit Credentials' I have the following message "(admin has granted access, credentials are not required)."
Assuming this confirms non-privacy issue

Thanks for the links. I reviewed each one.
Today I seemed to solve my issue. What I did was download my report from Service and reviewed the datasource within Power BI Desktop. I reviewed Data Source Settings and 'cleared permissions'. I then fully refreshed the report within Desktop and then Published. Within Service, I am now able to refresh On-Demand and as Scheduled.
Perhaps this info will help someone else someday.

Another interesting point, is that this same report refreshed without issue for the past two months. The issue just started happening this week. I haven't made any changes either.
