When a report is on a schedule to refresh, it automatically starts an On Demand refresh if I replace the dataset. Is this normal?
This is rather annoying and unnecessary. For example, if I need to change a report, I'm going to manually refresh it on desktop before publishing (since the copy on powerbi.com is up to date from the schedule). This behavior becomes undesirable if the refresh takes awhile, so I sometimes turn off the schedule, publish, then turn on the schedule to avoid this. Just seems unnecessary. Why would anybody want this to happen?
Thanks for posting about this "feature". I have a dataset that is right on the edge of hitting the 10Gig of uncompressed data limit and was struggling to understand why after I see a "Success" message when I publish from the Desktop, I find a "Failed to refresh" message in the Service.
