Hi.
I have multiple datasets with large numbers of Active Directory security groups that need to be added every time I republish. Does anyone have an automated script or way to upload a file that lists groups? Currently, we have 8 groups for each dataset, but once the rest of the company finds out about the dashboards, that number will grow exponentially.
I'd appreciate any suggestions.
Thanks.
Barbara
Hi,
Have you followed GilbertQ’s suggestion to try this rest API and check if you can get the useful info you wanted to? Because I think this can be a possible method to achieve this.
If so, would you like to his reply as a solution so that others can also get some useful info from it too?
Thanks in advance!

Hi @bknowles
There might be a way to do this with the Power BI REST APIs
This one might be the one you are looking for and could test: Groups - Update Group User - REST API (Power BI Power BI REST APIs) | Microsoft Docs
