Auto Refresh issue while shutdown the laptop

ZulaikaJanuri_0-1755509522458.png

I unable to refresh my Power BI Services dashboard after shutting down my laptop. Could someone assist me with the steps to resolve this issue?

Hey @ZulaikaJanuri,

You can move the locally stored dataset into SharePoint, that's it, no Gateway required after this point.

Additionally, The root cause is typically the Personal Gateway service not resuming properly after system shutdown, which breaks the connection between Power BI Service and your local data sources.

Hi There,

The dashboard continues to refresh as expected, even when the laptop has been shut down. I appreciate your continued support.

I'm currently using two data sources for my Power BI dashboard—one file saved locally on my desktop and another stored on SharePoint.

Is it a Sharepoint online version ?

If it is, would it be possible to move your files stored on your local in Sharepoint ?

With that, you won't have to use the personal gateway and you could refresh until 12 refreshes per day

Hi @ZulaikaJanuri

Which data sources are you using?

The issue is normal. It's because you're using a personal gateway. That means your laptop is used to bridge the data between your on-premises data source and Power BI Services (cloud).

If possible, use a standard gateway deployed on a server.

If you're using files like CSV or XLSX, you can store them in a cloud solution like SharePoint.
