I created a reporting dashboard for tracking our service metrics and now want to transfer the ownership including the ability to schedule refresh / update data to the rest of my team. Is there a way for me to share ownership of the Dashboard across the team ?
Solved! Go to Solution.
From what I can see when I have been using it, is that only one person can configure the refreshing on the dataset.
And in the past I have only been able to take ownership of a dataset, and this is on my account level, and not on a group level.
What we did do, was to create a workspace and then assign people to the workspace as Admin's. And in doing so if they needed to make a change to the Refresh schedule, they would take ownership and then modify the refresh schedule.
That is how we are facilitating modifying the refresh intervals.
Hi @vishayv,
In your scenario, you need a functionality that allow your colleague to modify your refresh schedule, right?
If your dataset supports scheduled refresh, by using Refresh Now and Schedule Refresh, there are a few requirements and settings important for refresh to be successful. These are Gateway connection, Data Source Credentials, and Schedule Refresh.
As you know, schedule refresh is for dataset, share a dashborad to your colleague on shared the dashboard. He do not have the pemission to your dataset. Besides, he may not have Data Source Credentials. So I am afraid there is no such a functionality to achieve your requirement.
