Hi guys,
when it comes to GDPR and limit access to data, what solutions do you have in place in Power BI?
I'm thinking about reports which contain data such as employee working times.
On the one hand, there are users which access this data on an aggregated level, such as total of employess working times per country. On the other hand there are just a few user, who may access this data on a more granular level, such as working times per department.
How do you manage this from adminstrative perspective in Power BI? Do you use (D)RLS, several workspaces and different active directory groups, for aggregate and granular data?
I have worked more than ten years with MicroStrategy and just started with Power BI this year. Currently, I've the impression that from adminstrative perspective, MicroStrategy provides significant more options than Power BI. Especially to consider GDPR and adding DRLS in each report seems to be a nightmare in Power BI. Maybe I'm wrong due to missing insights.

I would strongly recommend going with separate workspaces/apps as soom as you have clearly distinguishable audiences.
You will also want to deply sensitivity labels, and you want to make sure your company lawyers are involved in the discussions and your employees are trained on GDPR topics regularly.
