About Multi-geo for premium workspaces

Hi I would like to confirm the benefit of premium feature Multi-geo.

We have not received related requirements, so I don't know how or when to use this functions.

For example, the my location is Japan, the data source server is in Singapore, will it be better we change the region to Singapore? If do that, the performance of importing data processing will get improved.

Is my understanding correct?
