API for interacting with dataset without Azure AD

Maybe I wasn't clear. Im aware of PubNub. Basically when you create a streaming dataset (history on) from the service, a rowkey is generated and it shows an example to use this to push rows into your data set and Azure AD is not required. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/connect-data/service-real-time-streaming#create-your-streaming-dataset-with-the-option-you-like-best
Im asking if there are more methods available to this other than pushing rows into the dataset
