We are planning our move to Azure. Our primary Databases have a lot of cross db queries and so we are planning to us azure-sql-managed-instance-next-gen-gp.
We would like to mirror this DB to Fabric.
Questions...
1. I know mirrored databases from Azure SQL Managed Instance are in preview. does the managed-instance-next-gen-gp support mirroring to fabric?
2. This article goes over limitations https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/fabric/database/mirrored-database/azure-sql-managed-instance-limit.... however in terms of availability, I'm confused. It says
"You can configure your Azure SQL Managed Instance for mirroring if it is deployed to any Azure except: East US 2; West US 2; Central US; West US. For a complete list of region support, see Fabric regions that support Mirroring." Which would lead me to believe i could be in North Central US . however, in the 'Fabric Regions that support Mirroring' (see below) it does not list North Central and in fact, lists East US2 and West US2 which were on the exceptions list above. So I can't tell if i'm in North Central can i do this?
Thanking folks in advance!

Hi @PaigeTeegarden ,
We got the feedback that it's not currently supported in East US2, West US2, Central US, West US.
As for the specific timeline, there is no clear information at the moment, thank you for your patience.
Best regards.

Hi @PaigeTeegarden -
Mirroring is a feature that is split between Fabric and SQL MI. Availability is also double sided - your Fabric capacity and SQL MI region need to be in one of the available regions of their respective type.
FYI - Mirroring does not require that your SQL MI and Fabric capacity are in the same region.
For SQL MI, it can be deployed to any Azure region except East US 2; West US 2; Central US; West US. This list is bound to shrink further as we wait for produciton rollout which is currently in progress, to finish.
Fabric region availability is as documented in the docs pages.

ok. that is helpful clarity. thank you.
how 'easy' is it to moveFabric capacity and workspaces, etc to another region once more regions have it available?
Thank you! If it isn't available, if they can confirm any timelines for availability that would also be helpful.
