Is it still possible to download the Jan 2024 relase of power bi report server desktop? I can't seem to find it anywhere?

Based on my understanding, Microsoft only offers downloads for the latest version of Power BI Report Server Desktop (PBIRS). Older versions, like the January 2024 release, are usually not available from official Microsoft links once a newer version is released. Microsoft does not provide a public archive for older versions of Power BI Desktop Optimized for Power BI Report Server on their website.

According to the official build history, the January 2024 Report Server build is version 15.0.1114.33, released on January 26, 2024. But the Microsoft download pages show only the May 2025 version, and the January 2024 version is not listed on the official Power BI Report Server download page.

If you want the January 2024 version, you might find it on some third party websites, but this can be risky because those files might be old or unsafe.

Here are some options that might help you:

1. Use the latest version of Power BI Desktop Optimized for Report Server i.e., May 2025. Report Server usually supports older .pbix files, so your existing files should open fine.
