Hi @ytian001 ,

Have you tried to use the corresponding version (2.100.1381.0 64-bit (January 2022)) of Power BI Desktop (Optimized for Power BI Report Server)?

In addition, please check if this post could help you:

here is more info regarding the issue.

Reports will load but not connect to SSAS;

Have tested and confirmed that

  • SSAS (Data Source) is functional and port is not blocked
  • Report works in PBI desktop w/ same connection string and account
  • We upgraded the report server to the latest version, Version1.13.8054.40631(January 2022) (previously was March 2020)
  • We also created a new Report Server Database to eliminate a possible issue
    • We were able to create a report that worked when it’s data source was a local excel doc.
    • All other reports that connect to a SSAS data source through Report Server get this message -

Was the issue happening before you upgraded to Jan 2022?

Are you using Kerberos auth?

I have seen same issue on Jan 2021 ,it was due to a Windows Update on the Domain Controller

yes, it happens to old version, that is why we tried to upgrade it. we have prod env with same version, it works fine. only Dev has this issue. we compare the configuration between prod and dev, they are same. no we do not use kerberos. we connect to DB using windows authenticaiton.
